NHS Covid Cdertificates & EU Certificates

Perhaps a new, though similar topic, as " Returning to Portugal".

The latest Afpop advice states: "
"Acceptance conditions for non-EU certificates:

The acceptance of these certificates is based on reciprocity, meaning, Portugal only accepts certificates from countries that in turn accept the EU Digital COVID Certificate."
and the UK Govt says (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/countries-w ... accination) that the UK now accepts EU covid Certificates.

Hence, on the basis of reciprocity, then the EU ( Portugal) ought to accept the NHS Covid Certificate meaning a PCR/Lateral Flow test is not needed before arrival.

However, UK says ( https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advic ... quirements ) that :
NHS COVID Pass holders, who do not also have an EU digital COVID certificate, must

take a COVID-19 test to enter Portugal (children up to the age of 11 are exempt)
So, it shouldn't be necessary to take a pre-departure test, but it seems that it is.....anyone had any recent experience? Perhaps it;s just a delay in issuing the corrected regulations?

Nowhere except Easyjet website says that test not required.
Am surprised this has not been picked up by media elsewhere and also the UK Gov website.
Until I see this on something more official don't think I would risk not doing a test.

Just received this: https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advic ... quirements

No tests now required, NHS Covid pass accepted...just need a locator form...
If you have an NHS COVID Pass or an EU digital COVID vaccination certificate showing you have been fully vaccinated with an EU approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days before you travel, or an EU COVID recovery certificate showing you have recovered from COVID-19 no less than 11 days and no more than 180 days of when you are due to travel:

you do not need to have a COVID-19 test to enter Portugal. Be prepared to show a digital or paper copy of your COVID vaccination or recovery certificate when you check-in for your flight,

Hurrah....Easyjet were correct!
