Glad to see we are not the only people with a soft heart that holiday in Carvoeiro. We also decided to bring a stray dog home, Murphy, as a present from the Algarve. Like Jack he also had 'Sandfly' and had to have treatment before he came home.(All provided by the wonderful APAA)
It took over 10 months to actually get him to Britain (Scotland) as he was quite sick and had to have treatment before entering Pets Passport scheme but glad to say he has been with us now for 8 months and has came on leaps and bounds. (Although he will have to have medication for the rest of his life)
We feel that Murphy has adapted to life in cold, cold, Scotland very well and can assure Jack and Daniella's new owners that they won't regret it.
Look forward to hearing how they get on when they finally arrive

It could be fun to make a "adopt a dog" section on the web site..?

Might be fun as you say Steen as I know there are others that have done this too and if it raises the profile of APAA so much the better !
