Car Hire

Have just booked 15 nights in Carvoeiro Mar. Have never been before. There will be three of us, 2 adults 1 child aged eight. What's best way to get there from airport. Should we hire car for entire holiday. If so, please recommend car hire company (web address etc)

Yes it’s definitely worth hiring a car for the entire holiday. I would recommend

www.easyjet.co.uk & book through Europcar, ive got 2 weeks from 24th July til 7th August for £196. DONT got direct to Europcar web site, its more expensive

Go to the home page and click on either of the links for Algarvedriver rates are very good, local to Carvoeiro (and webmaster Steen would be quite pleased as well)

Yes ..weve hired from the Hotel Sol and found them very reasonable...
also from place up the hill(forgotten name
)....
just past Primaveira restaurant..on the corner?....£55 a week

We hire a fairly big car each time (Focus Estate sort of size) and found that although Europcar through Easyjet was a good price, Algarvedriver was a much better price.
We paid only £175 for a week in June with Algarvedriver for the Focus Estate.
We had previously had a car through Hertz (through carhire4less.com I think ?) which was a Focus saloon for 2 weeks and it cost us nerly £600!!!! And that was in September!
The service with each company is about the same, no complaints, so I guess it depends how muc you want to pay!

We were in Carvoeiro in late March and rented from the same place as Ellie, the one up the hill past restaurant on corner. Very reasonable rates and the staff very friendly and helpful (well, you'd expect that in CVO wouldn't you).
