Lived in Cascais for a few years myself, I prefer it up there to CVO. People more civilised. How long have you lived there and do you now if there is a site like this for Cascais. Look forward to hearing from you.

…………. been living in Carcavelos, Cascais for all of four weeks now……lived in Telheiras, Lisboa for about three years prior to that and used to come out this way regularly……before moving here we considered cvo and a couple of other towns in Algarve [we used to have a little holiday apt. in Portimao back in the 80’s when we were based in London]…….we finally decided on this part of the country, as opposed to Algarve, for a number of reasons: business interests in Lisbon, wife’s family in Lisbon and we believe property here to be a better investment…….but we like Algarve and may move down there one day………
and you……..do you maybe regret moving to cvo from cascais? I think Algarve appeals to a different type of person……

I lived in Parede and Caparide for seven years, and although I loved the life and the style Lisbon and the sorrounding areas has to offer, I would not want to miss the laid back life in Carvoeiro. Lisbon just gets too hectic at times and when AlgarveShopping opened its doors, the western Algarve was finally up to standards - I would have probably shot myself if I didnt have a shopping centre to hang around on those rainy winter days
