Plenty, but suggest you try first of all to discover the reason for the tiredness. Everybody these days is too quick to treat the symptoms rather than looking for the cause
agree.........

Hi Babs,
It could be many things that are making you so tired, maybe your diet is not quite right, need plenty of protien and fibre, fruit and green veg. Also could be your vit B12 level is not right or possibly anaemia. Get yourself checked out by your doctor first and then maybe look at your lifestyle and eating habits and try and get a good balance of sleep and good food. Talk to your pharmacist they might be able to help.
Then if all else fails, go out to cvo for a well earned rest!!!

Hi Babs, here are some of my suggestions to get your body balanced out:
Balanced diet (fruit in the morning, veggies and maybe some meat for lunch, light dinner) avoid heavy meals in the evening.
Get at least 7 hours of sleep, some sports (best is powerwalking in the morning and a few rounds in the pool or a cold shower before bed), don´t smoke, don´t drink more than 2 glasses for red wine for lunch/dinner, stay away from beer and hard alcohol.
Drink at least 2-3 lts of water in a day - the best is to make drinking a small glass on a regular basis a part of your daily routine.

Gambrinus - is there any chance that you can show us a picture of your superfit, tanned and toned physique?

It might be just the tonic Babs needs and might perk all us ladies up
But no more than 2 glasses of red wine at lunchtime?

Me thinks that would make most of us fall asleep?

I would just suggest drinking lots of water.
I am suffering from tiredness too. Unfortunately I need a 24 hour childminder to help with mine as my kids just won't sleep
Its really awful being so tired all the tim, so I can entirely sympathise.

Superfit, tanned.....well....ummmm....still kinda working on that, give me another year or so

The smoking part is still giving me a hard time too.
As for the wine at lunch, a nap after sunday lunch will also work wonders

Guest, I'm sure you mean well, but you really should not be suggesting conditions that Babs might have, especially conditions which have the possible complications which you suggest of strokes and heart problems.
Babs it was me who posted the first response. There are a huge number of possible reasons for tiredness, and almost equal number of potential remedies. Talk to experts and find out what is happening to your lifestyle that is causing the problem, then start looking for remedies

Ditto - make a doctors appointment ASAP - ask for blood tests which will pick up any deficiencies.
And don't google until you have been given a definite diagnosis

Babs If you're tired but also have trouble sleeping a lovely massage will help you to relax. Make up 30ml of oil ( you can use any type including olive oil or vegetable oil if you dont have grapeseed or some other massage oil in the house) Add some essential oils to it (up to 15 drops)such as chamomile, to ease anxiety and tesion and anger. Or marjoram for nervous tension--Also helps asthma and migrain among other things. Sandalwood-good for men too-for stress and anxiety. Also good for cellulite and cystitis! Do not use essential oils if you are pregnant without checking with a qualified practitioner first...Any questions happily answered. Remember you do not have to have a full body massage to get the benefits of essential oils. You can do it to yourself just byu rubbing your hands, feet, neck, tummy--anywhere that feels comfortable to you, the oil will penetrate into your bloodstream and treat your symptoms. Good luck x x x April x x x x
Debs try mandarin on the kids before bedtime good for over-excitability and its nice and mild. Remember it may be phototoxic so watch out for the sun!!
