Big weekend coming up!

It is Carvoeiros Saints Day and will culminate in a big firework display Sunday night/Monday morning at about 00.15.

Lots going on before that.

It is so nice of the residents of CVO to arrange a festival just because I'm arriving
Seriously biffa, where are the best vantage points to watch the fireworks and what else will be happening?

Fireworks usually launched on the headland near the church but you will see them from most anywhere. Of course the square is a good spot.

There will be a mixture of religious and social activities. These include the blessing of the fishing boats and a procession from the church.

I wil try and get the programme and post it.

Be ready for the "big bangs" at 8 am Sunday morning as they let the first firewoks off!!

Hope the display will be bigger than the New Year one?!

I will be the short brunette with three children and a husband in tow, but probably swaying from side to side (me not the kids)

Cant' wait, hope the weather is still nice, and my sympathies for anyone who has to stay behind in the UK.
