play on..give me excess of it..
The opening lines of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night"(or What You Will)
and Im aware that Im encroaching on Tabithas ground here! But thought it a good opening!

With all the talk on here of 'flirting' and 'chat-up' I was wondering what music 'stirs' your blood? Romantically/Passionately or both?
For myself I find something with a good 'beat' will really get me going..love jazz and drum solos..
Ive heard some classical stuff called 'orgasmic'..and I can understand that...the composer who does that for me is
Sergei Rachmaninov..suppose mainly cos he was a pianist as well as composer...
But the 'Russian-ness' in his work comes thru so strongly..that it 'gets' me every time..almost to swooning point...
what 'gets' you?

That would be a long list and a tough choice to limit it to a handfull.

Not much of a classic fan, very few favourites there - Ballade Pour Aldine - Richard Clayderman

I usually have "theme songs", a particular song to remind me of a particular person, usually a song that is in the charts or well known at the time or simply a song from one very special night...

going back into the "Top 5" mode

Julio Iglesias
Phil Collins
Jewel

Like some classics -I think Debussy for soft romantic scene or maybe a little Chopin?

and Id go along with Gambo regarding Iglesias--
but sorry-cant stand Phil Collins or that guy who sings 'lady in red'!

Tom Jones makes me jiggle-specially with his sex bomb!

According to Mad Magazine Bon Jovi means "no talent" in several chinese dilaects

Tabs, I cannot beleive you would rule out Chris DeBurg, have you any idea how much he contributed to the preservation of the species with that song??

Now Tom Jones.....don't you think you are past the romantic stage of the evening and down to brass tax when you listen to things like "Sex Bomb" or "You can leave your hat on"....?

I would have to add a couple to yesterday's list - Bee Gees (too many to list) and Cliff Richard's "Miss You Nights"

We are talking about msic being the food of love and all right but I do have a hard time seeing what 'RATS IN THE KITCHEN'have to do with love??? I know they only come for the food..............lol

I think my choices don't fit the "romantic" feeling as such. I just went for the music I listen to more.

coming home from watching the fireworks on sunday night - What kind of fool Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb was playing on the radio -- it was so lovely and we all sat in the car singing even after we arrived at the front door ---it was a perfect end to a perfect holiday---Back in jersey now and planning my next escape!!

2. Anything by Bon Jovi

3. Any good piano pieces like 'Warsaw Concerto'

4. The Last night at the Proms

5. and Rhapsody in Blue - Cole Porter
