Maps on CVO site

Hi all. Can you help please? With the new roads that have been constructed in the CVO/Benagil/Lagoa area, coupled with the motorway access roads, is there a map that can be bought showing these, or better still is there something that could be added to the site to be downloaded please. We have tried a couple of what we thought may be shortcuts out of CVO to the east, and think we have mastered it, but would like to see if we can improve upon them. Any ideas folks?
Thanks.

Good thought about the maps - it is a bit of a nightmare sometimes trying to navigate out of CVO (not that we want to leave) especially in summer months.

We'd be happy to see this as well.
Do Portugal have the equivalent of UK OS maps? If so, how often are they updated?

I lived in Portimao back in the 80s and I searched everywhere for a streetmap with no luck….

Try getting an OS map from the camara and put the roads on yourself…..I’m serious, but I do enjoy that kind of thing

That's very interesting falcon - shows how this forum starts things moving and could (and often does) produce results!

There is an excellent map (in an orange cover) available in all the local shops in CVO, called CARVOEIRO Golf & Resort Map published by ForWays, Author Guia Turistico do Norte. It has a detailed map of CVO, an overall map of the Algarve, a road map of the Carvoeiro-Lagoa area and a detailed map of the Carvoeiro- Lagoa area with all main road names and tourist complexes. Shame it can't be put on the website as presumably, this would be against copyright laws. It has an ISBN number of 972-8554-86-9 but when this subject came up earlier this year and someone tried to get it via Amazon they had no luck so maybe you need to get it in CVO !

Sorry - can't remember how much the map cost - but it wasn't expensive - probably around 3 to 5 euros ?

Good info from WHSmiths, but the date is 1997 and surely the original enquiry was for the new roads associated with the new freeway around CVO? Falcon was looking into this, and the Orange coloured publication sounds good, but with the word golf in the title it might be an initial put-off. However, next time we go, we'll look into getting a copy.

I bought one at the Intermarche, when I was there in June. I was about € 4,75.

Apologises Michael. I went to the WHS website checking on various maps after looking at your link and saw the earlier Algarve edition listed as well (why didn't they delete/withdraw that?)Thanks for the info. Regards DM

Anyone been to WHS yet and purchased a copy?

Anyone in Carvoeiro willing to post one to me? I will gladly pay you via cheque or in euros at Christmas when Sharen and I return for 10 days.
