is ther any scuba diving in the area?

There is aswell an other dive centre in Carvoeiro. They are located in
the Hotel Tivoli Almansor. You can find them under www.tivoli-diving.com or send them an email under info@tivoli-diving.com . I dived with them a couple of times and had a lot of fun.
