this song beings up memories of some one long ago....it's called "twilight time"...heavenly shades of night are falling/.. it's twlight time/..out of the mist you're voice is calling/.. it's twilight time....each day i pray for evening/ just to be with you...together / at last at twilight time.... now, if that doesn't bring a tear to your eye, you never had a lost love, or you need to peel an onion...

This song is very evocative; but in the reverse of the original topic meaning

When my ex-wife and I parted (1984) she'd phone me up and played this song down the telephone to me. All day, every day, for months. It drove me mad!

Never mind Michael -- Im sure Sharen has taken that rotten memory away--you sound very happy couple--dont you have a favourite song together,or maybe like us you like many songs.
Always liked "hot chocolate" --former lead singer Errol Brown wrote "Where you from you sexy thing" for his wife --ah thats nice --so that has to be "their" song I would say.
In my youth,it was Abba,all their songs and if youve found "the" one,then youve met your Waterloo !
When i met Hub ,he had great collection of Beach Boys who he was mad about--they still sound good--their first hit "Get around"--right Cowboy ?The late 60s i think ?
I have also a collection of T-Rex-Marc Bolan --he was before his time in the 70s.
Gambrinus my son likes Dire Straits--believe they were a favourite of our late Princess Diana.
Songs all bring back some memory dont they,some sad some nice.

As many of you might have noticed (especially those of you that have logged onto the Turkey web site and read some of my postings - in particular, My Rosemary Clooney Diet) I'm not the conventional sort

We are happy. In actual fact Sharen is a few years younger than I. She will be 40 in June (we're in Turkey at the time) and I'm 54 (but a young 54). She was the baby-sitter for my children before we split up in '84. Of course, at the time she was just a kid (well, kiddish) and there was absolutely nothing going on. Then, in 1992ish her uncle (my best friend) fixed me up with a date with her . . . the rest you can probably guess

The good thing is, Sharen and my eldest daughter get on like a house on fire. It's great to see them together.
