things to do for 4 yr old

Any ideas on what is in and around Carvoeiro that would interest a 4 yr old? Also, could anyone recommend some nice beaches? Don't have to be too close as we will have a hire car. Due in CVO on Tuesday.

Beach at Caneiros
Bowling at Algarve shopping (if it rains!)
Dolphin Safari from Portimao (though yet to find a Dolphin)
