I am delighted to see that 'O Nuno' is a new sponsor to this website.
I never knew that they also offered accomodation and at what are obviously very competitive prices.
Over the years I have spent many happy evenings in their restaurant and the food has always been excellent and very reasonably priced.

It's a pity they don't put a sample menu and prices on their web site

I just had a look and I am surprised! It looks very nive and the price is right. I feel like sending our friends to O Nuno in future, because it is a better price than Monte Dourado, where I used to send them to.

It looks very nice but its way out of town isn't it? and thats why its cheaper where as Monte Dourado is central so bound to be a little more expensive thats the way it works

.definitely need to hire car!

I advise everybody to hire a car, because people need to see more of Portugal than just Carvoeiro!

...but not everybody wants to hire a car - for some people that's part of their holiday - to be able to relax and not drive everywhere

that may be true, but Monte Dourado and a few other hotels are the only possible places to stay without a car. Elsewhere you need a taxi or a car to get to the centre.

I think that was guest's point, that for some people, a central location is important.

From Lagoa take the first turning on the left about 200 yards past Intermarche. Follow the road round to the left and Nuno's will be found on the right hand side.
From Carvoeiro take the first turning on the right past the Petrol Station, again follow the road around to the left and Nuno's is on the right.
I believe that there may well now be traffic lights at the junction on the main road. At least they appeared to be putting them in when I was out there a couple of weeks ago.
