• Antonio Super Bang

was in Carvoeiro about a month ago with 5 mates and we met some crazy portugese guy who told us his name was Antonio Super-Bang, he liked immatating Michael Jackson when Jackson.

He is late 50's early 60's, with grey balding hair and a moustache, however the people in Hemmingways knew him by a different name, he was quite happy dancing around young girls in rascals and smoking his cigaretter the wrong way round.

does any one have any info on who he really is and what he does, he mentioned his wife a lot

it can only be the one and only chefe Antonio, he owns one of the best restaurants in carvoeiro, and is harmless, when is pissed is a funny guy

or it also could be ''dallas'' one of the funniest characters in carvoeiro, but he's not married......

O.k.....while we´re at it, there is this also funny looking guy that
always saw while visiting Carvoeiro, he´s Portuguese, kind
of small and thin, but has the world´s biggest afro hairdo that would
have made "Jackson Five" really envious!

I never visited Carvoeiro without seeing this guy, I mean if you gave
him a lift, you´d had zero visibility in your rear-wiew mirror!

Anybody knows this guy? He´s really entertaining by pure existance!

I know of that guy. I used to see him a lot driving around Carvoeiro in his white van. I am sure someone told me recently that he is a really good jazz musician

Perhaps someone else could confirm that.

He looks like a leftover from the film Carwash doesn't he?

Yes, they're very good - saw them at Cafe Ingles earlier in the year, they also played on the beach last summer during the football - Beto had his hair spray painted with the Portuguese flag!!

He is an excellent musician. I often go to the jazz club on Monday nights.

There is even a video clip of one of the songs called Praia do Carvoeiro which features Beto.

Beto and the band actually performed that tune (praia do Carvoeiro) on Sunday 28th August (a week sunday just gone) I was sitting on the terrace,with my jug of Sangria and the love of my life, having the time of my life. Memories that keep me happy in Glasgow!!
