I've just had a look at the weather cam and see that it's 36 degrees !! lets hope it stays that way for when i go out in 18 days time. I've already booked HAPPYS for our first nights meal and then we will pop into the ROUND UP,then wander over to MUNGO'S and maybe finish the night at THE JAILHOUSE. As you can see i cant wait to get there and im not really counting the days!!!

You jammy person - you will have a brill time I am sure and of course you know your stuff so you don't have to do anything that may disappoint you. I cannot wait until my children do not force me to take my hols in school breaks (it will be cheaper then too)

Mads & Loretta---- Black Russian in the A gale -is that a waiter or "Wodka & Blackcurrant" --or have I got it all wrong again ?

Vodka, Tia Maria and Coke, Elle - I understand there are not many of the other kind in the state that is now Russia. Usually a couple of measures of each spirit and topped up with coke - gloriously refreshing.

In the bar next to A Gale they seem to think the coke is superfluous - highball glass of half and half the two spirits, I understand from friends and relatives that we often to go to dinner after a couple of drinks in that bar - not that I would remember.

Loretta if you could possibly do the black russion tour of the whole of CVO in the name of research of course and report back on measures and prices I would be eternally grateful and I could add it to the extensive research I have already undertaken on the subject.

Maddi, I will try my best but i dont know how much i will remember after the first few .
The last time i was over i had a couple of slippery nipples at Mungos needless to say i dont remember going home!! (ellie dont go getting any ideas a slippery nipple is Brandy with baileys floating on top)

Have you had a B52, Tia Maria Mixed with Grand Marnier with Baileys floating on the top - looks like a posh floater coffee - delicious!

loretta, you should try one made with Kahlua instead of the Tia Maria.. it gives it a bit more oomph! although I haven't found any where that uses it.

Ah Martins, interesting you should say that - because virtually everywhere I go (including cvo) I have to say "Tia Maria not kahlua, please" as I have found most places automatically make it with kahlua - now ain't that strange
