Hi Martin..
It sounded good and I felt really sad at missing it..I was supposed to go along with Susana for book signing but couldn't extend my hol. break till then. Also had problem that would have prevented me going in any case..
I hope it went well for 'Magna Carta' ? and for all those who took part..
certainly looked like a good day out :)
best wishes

Hi Ellie,

I met with Thunderbolt last night...she is helping Susana at the Magna Carta stand... She said that it is going very well and they are enjoying themselves. I was thinking of going along today for a look, but I have got the beginnings of a cold/sore throat, so thought I would take it easy at home instead. Late night in Carvoeiro with a lot of vinho tinto probably didn't help matters. :)

Good to see you back on the forum...please don't go quiet on us. We miss you

No whiskey in the house but plenty of vinho do porto...so I'll live. :D

I did go down to the local supermarket earlier to pick up a couple of things and everyone seemed to be coughing and spluttering around me, so seems I am not alone with my germs. I suppose it doesn't help when the temperature has gone from over 30ºC to 18ºC in a few days. All those germs are looking for nice warm hosts to hitch a ride with. :(

Summer had to end sometime I suppose...nice to finally be able to wear a jumper again though. :)

Thanks for the comments, Martin - as part of the crew helping to organise BLiP, it's nice to hear from people who enjoyed our event! Not wanting to rest on our laurels, if anyone has any comments or suggestions to help make BLiP 2006 even better, please post them here.

 FYI, I will be suggesting stand numbers on the stands rather than just the Exhibitor Name... and a bigger carpark!

Hello,

We had a brilliant time at BLIP.
Only comment I would make was that due to condensation on the first day, water was dripping everywhere which is a bit annoying when you have books around but after that first hour, everything went very well.

I'm definitely up for doing it again next year!

And congratulation to purple lizard for his first post!

Well done Thunderbolt. Glad you got through the two days ok and I hope that you resisted buying any more cook books while you were there. Sorry I couldn't make it, but think I have bird flu.

Welcome aboard LagartoRoxo. Dig the name. 8)

Thanks, ThunderBolt! :D We're still trying to get to the bottom of the condensation issue which, for some reason, was only happening in Pavillion C - sorry that's where you were sited. Rest assured, we'll resolve the issue and BLiP 2006 will be less drippy for you and the Magna Carta crew!

I didn't buy another cook book but I do have one on order. Hehe!

Gerard Depardieu's cook book.

and do you think you have bird flu or food poisoning?

The Magna Carta Crew had a very good time at BLIP and I spent most of my day rearranging displays.

No, I am of course exaggerating...I have a bad head cold that's all.

Quite happy to be a guinea pig for the Gerard Depardieu cook book. :D
