Dear Guest!
I would definatly recommend Happys, The restaurant is very small so i would advise you to book in advance, they have quite a wide menu from steaks, fish & chips (but not like you've ever tasted before mmm), Spagetti bologs, chiken piri piri and their famous standing up kebabs (chicken & prawn piri piri i could recommend), they also do a childrens menu. I'm not sure of the prices now as i havnt been there since the introduction of the euro. The host Libbe always has a freindly welcome for you and makes you feel very at home. Im sure you will have a great time.
By the way is there any chance you could let me know who i'm replying to, its always nicer if you can reply to a name not just GUEST

Cheers Loretta

Eleven of us had the best meal of our holiday at Happys on our last night, a week ago today. A warm welcome, excellent food and just the right amount of attention from the staff.
When I booked the table, a couple of nights beforehand, their diary was empty. It was a birthday treat for our ten year old and, when we arrived, the ceiling above our table was decorated with balloons and flags. Nice touch.
The fish and chips is to die for. As are the starters, the kebabs, the fillets, the.....
I couldn't fault the place. No wonder it is so popular.

A week or so ago when we were in Skiathos, my daughter celebrated her eleventh birthday, we booked a table for 17 at a nearby restaurant, (the other 13 people being other tourists we had met since we arrived).
The restaurant gave us a beautifully decorated table, Rhiannon a present, and the most sumptious and gorgeous cake (sparklers, the works) all with their compliments. On leaving the restaurant we returned to the apartments where we were staying to have a "party" in the bar ("Christos, would you mind playing a Justin Timberlake CD this evening for our daughter" sort of party), it was a lovely surprise (if a little filling) for her to be presented with another magnificent cake and presents, again with their compliments.
A couple of years ago in Majorca we booked a table in a restaurant for her birthday and when we arrived they had put balloons on the ceiling, little confetti type things on the table and presented her with a cake - our bill showed that £28-00 had been charged for "a birthday occasion" !

If you are staying at Monte Dourado you will have a fantastic apt. and lovely time in Carvoeiro. It is within walking distance of all the restaurants and bars - tho' the hill can be tiring in the first few days when the leg muscles havent developed!
The staff and reception are very helpful at MD. If you contact them b4 your holiday, I am sure they will make a reservation for you at Happys?
Have a great hol - we go again at end of September to MD and can't wait

Happys is up the hill on the left, next to Round up Saloon and California Pizza if my memory serves me correctly
