What's good about the Algarve laws?
What's good about the Algarve laws?
I know we are often knocking the Portuguese lawmakers / bureaucracy, but I think they do have some things that are better than the UK
1. Licensing laws (or lack of) - Why should a coffee shop have to spend loads of hours and money getting a licence to serve a brandy with my coffee - or why can't I have a glass of wine with my eat-in Fish and Chips
2. Hi-vis jackets in cars - this is a really good idea - I wonder how many lives it would save in the UK at very little cost?
3. Complaint books in restaurants - again I think this would raise standards (or if EU wide close almost every taverna in most parts of the Ionian!)
Any other rules/laws/ways of doing things that are better than good old blighty?
