• TV System in Portugal

Am I correct in assuming it is SECAM?

Presumably English PAL TV's won't work in Portugual.

Would someone please confirm or correct. Many thanks.

Does that mean if we bring out our English PAL TV sets they will work in Portugal?

I was led to believe our UK sets would not function in Portugal!

an english tv will not work as the sound system is different...however i have an english tv and aaron phillips from electrosol solved it for me.

you buy a portuguese video recorder and then connect the signal into the video and then SCART connection to the tv...it works fine.
