Hi
From the webcam it appears something is happening in the square, lots of yellow plastic railing things, and a few people around, what is happening?
Thanks

Hi carole,
That's probably the entertainment for Carnival.
A stage has been erected on the square so something should be happening there tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the last day.
It's a bank holiday here.

Thank you for your reply! I am arriving in Carvoeiro on Thursday and was wondering if there were events on for the whole week. Hope you have another sunny day for it tomorrow!

It rained so hard on Saturday I was confined to the bar!!!

Unfortunately the work on the new drainage system is still continuing, so the stage is opposite the Carvoeiro Sol rather than next to the beach as normal. Yesterday was the children's fancy dress parade, and tomorrow is the main carnival procession - starting around 2.30.

Hi Kteee
We watched some of the children's parade yesterday and thankfully, after Saturday the weather was reasonable. A lot of effort is put in and the kids just love it. My grand daughter and son would adore to take part.
Unfortunately we had to leave for the airport at 07.00 this morning and the weather looked very settled. Hope it stayed so for the main events today.
By the way we popped into the Bistro at Algar Seco on Thursday evening but no one seemed to be around. Perhaps we were too early! I assume this is still the regular meeting place?
