Hi there Alan & Eric, just wondering when you are coming to CVO again, we will be over in 3 weeks and would be good to see you performing in the jailhouse

Hello Jay,
Only just seen your message on the forum or I would have replied earlier.
Unfortunatley the infamous Candelabra's have decided to take a break from the life sapping world they call Rock & Roll

and so have hung the guitars up in the most fitting place we could find - The Outhouse!
I know this news will come as a blow to many of you out there - who's that sniggering? - but the batteries need to be recharged and Eric need's a haircut.
Hope you had a great time in CVO and the old man at the Jailhouse kept you entertained.
I will be coming over week commencing 19th June for a few days and look forward to seeing a few friends and who knows I may be persuded by that velvet tongued chap they call Bobby Stardust to 'do a turn' as they say up here in north.
Bye for now

Presumably there is a support group to help your legions of fans cope with the break up
Good luck for the future
Support?

Funny you should mention that Tricky.
A small contribution from fans (to pay for administration fees etc) should be left in a small brown paper package behind the bar at the Jailhouse which on my arrival in the resort will be collected and a support poster will be distributed accordingly.
Seriously though we did plan the breakup to coincide with Take That getting back together in order to 'soften the blow'

Just so happens I will be over again at the beginning of September - can't wait

and no doubt assisting his bobbyness in his frugal activities - (that's entertaining to you!).
Erics hair has now been shampood and set so he is ready to roll - looks very fetching with his blue rinse! - don't know if he can make in Sept - but I'm sure he will try.
Be good to see some familiar faces in the Jailhouse - who will be there for the first 2 weeks of Sept?

Well, looks there's going to be quite a few folks over in Sept - I can see I'm going to have to pace myself and stay off the Madronia!
Nice to hear from you Ellie, be good to see you - as long as you dont try to lock me in the supermarket fridge again!

- maybe we could have that drink together this time round?
The weather back here in blighty is absoloutely fantastic at the moment, with everyone moaning ' it's too hot' - can't win can you
Here's to good times in September.

Well looks like summers been and gone here in the UK
So I can't wait to be in Carvoeiro in September and just to get me in the mood I decided to cook some Piri Piri chicken on the BBQ at the weekend.
Made my own marinade with a little help from Karen's recipe at the Jailhouse - mixed some olive oil with garlic, red chilli peppers, paprika, salt and WHISKEY - Jack Daniels to be precise
Cut the backbone from the chicken in order to butterfly it and gave it a good soaking in the marinade.
Have to say it tasted fantastic

and despite the rain we managed to get reasonably tipsy with the help of some rose wine and a few bottles of Stella!
Anyone else out there had a go at making Piri Piri? would like to hear about your recipes/ideas.
See you all very soon - Candelabra Al.

That sounded like the 'real McCoy' Alan !
Yes I have tried chicken Pirpiri here at home...I used a ready made Piri mixture (in small bottle)..it was ok but didn't taste quite the same as in CVO....
think you need the ambience?
on the other hand,it could be my cooking
Now icecream Im ok with..take out of freezer..then serve!
