are there any golf club do's on over christmas and the new year , or the carvoeiro tennis club is there anything on over the christmas or new year period . or any hotels offering anything like dinner/dance.

we are thinking of coming over the christmas and new year. what about the restaurants. can anyone advise.

I know the Almansor do a new years eve dinner dance, last year it went on all night and included a buffet about 2 or 3 in the morning. We didn't go but did get the details for it. They don't tend to organise it very far in advance, we asked at the beginning of December and had to wait until just before Christmas before details were available.

Julios also had live music and dancing last year.

The Almansor will be printing out their New Year schedule in August. I am on their mailing list (we shall be there for Christmas) and I'll let you know when I get the details.
