We are visiting Portugal for the first time in June and staying in Carvoeiro. we arrive at about 9 pm and are hiring a car from Faro airport. How long should it take to collect the car and drive to Carvoeiro (Club Golfemar) at that time of evening?

After landing allow about 30 mins luggage, 15mins to sign and pick the car up (assuming it's on airport) and between 40-45mins to Carvoeiro. Maps available in FAQ section. Have a safe journey and do check out the FAQ's

From experience, 15 minutes to pick up the car may be a bit optimistic but why worry. You are on holiday. Have a chat to tne other people waiting. We had a great conversation with a golfer from Sweden in February, we were stood waiting in warm sunshine - bliss.

Normally takes a while to pick the car up. I sometimes leave my partner getting the luggage while I go straight thru to the car rental office. It means I miss the queue!!
