SILVES CAMARA PAYING WATER BILL BY DIRECT DEBIT

Does any one known if silves camara operated a direct debit facility for paying water bills for my property. What is the procedure, what papers do they need? is it simple process, or silves camra being silves camra what is the best way of going about it. Help is needed here, if anybody can tell me if they have been through this process at silves camara

We pay our water by DD to Lagoa Camara. In theory it is simple. you go to your bank and tell them what you want to do, they complete a form and you then take it along to the correct office at the Camara. However we repeated this process three times before the actual DD took effect - it took us a year to achieve! Don't know if we were just unlucky?

Now it is working the DD goes out every two months but is for a variable amount. You get a bill telling you the amount that will be taken, a couple of weeks before the money goes out. (I had a query related to this on a thread further down this page).
