OWNERS DIRECT

I am wondering if any of you nice folks have their property for rent being advertised on the web based U.K. company called OWNERS DIRECT. If so please let me know what the response is/was like? any other alternatives for Property owners to market and manage their property for rental would be most appreciated. I would appreciate any suggestions from the members. I have tried the managing agency but am very disappointed with response and per getting tenants are concerned, and the management charges do not justify the upkeep of the apartment i have in armacao de pera.

I found www.holiday-rentals.co.uk very good for getting rentals

I have looked at this website. and it looks very good. Can you tell me if you are using this site, and what is the best way to accept payments from future renters, and any pitfalls i should watch out for, and and other help and guidanc eyou may give me will be most helpful. I now need to find a agent who would do the subsidiary management work of keys. cleaning. maids. and attending to holidaymakers needs. Any suggestions.

Hi there

we are advertised on Owners Direct for the 1st time this year and within the first two months of the year had about 8 enquiries and out of these we got bookings for July and August, Sep, October , so on that basis we are quite pleased with them and will probably renew membership for next year.
Once you have registered it is easy to add extra updated info and if you have any Special Offers etc.

we have been with Owners Direct for a couple of years and would highly recommend them.

We also use Holiday lettings.co.uk and holiday-rentals.co.uk. We got about 60% of this years bookings through Owners Direct and 30% through Holiday Rentals. I think Holiday Rentals are making quite a push for market share this year and we have received quite a few enquiries from elsewhere in Europe which can be quite handy to receive Euro's to pay your villa manager.

For management we use Neil at IPC Management who advertises on this site. He lives in Armaceo de Pera and has an office in Carvoeiro. He is excellent!

Very many thanks for your kind assitance and recommendations. It is very helpful to me.

Just wondering if any of you have properties in Armacao they rent out, in their absence directly without th euse of managing agents? If so what sysytem do you recommedn to follow regarding meeting of clients, payments, cleaning, etc. I know it is a long shot, but as my main need is to not have full time mangement company, BUT someone who would be willing to work as and when needed. ans is relaible, and experienced.
