Re: Property insurance
I had quotes from Hiscox, Abbeygate, UKexpats, and 3 other UK based companies ranging up to £650 - (without earthquake cover), for the house alone (5 bed + pool). I eventually got the house and car insured for less than that through Victoria.

Re: Property insurance
I would also add Lloyd & Whyte and speak to a David Fraser, incredibly helpful, informative with upto date matters and competitive quotes.

Re: Property insurance
I would agree with contacting David Fraser. IWhen getting insurance quotes I rang round and checked online with UK-based insurers such as Schofields, Hiscox etc but didn't really receive satisfactory answers to my queries. I searched on the forum here and came up with a recommendation for Lloyd & White, emailed David and received a quick and comprehensive response.
Re: Property insurance
