Fitted Kitchens
Hi Can anybody help?
We have just had a horrendous quote for a new kitchen for our aparment in CVO. Its quite a simple job, re tiling floor and walls and replacing existing units with new ones and new appliances. No structural work
or re-building. We had to get quotes from, the builder, the kitchen company and the carpenter (to fit the units) We would prefer one company to do the lot.
Thanks in advance

there are loads of kitchen places...if you go for a local brand or spanish they are much cheaper than from uk or germany.
there is a kitchen shop we use ...almost opp pingo doce in armaca de pera...the owner is south african/portugese..shop is callled Garbaya (or something like that) ..its nextt o an upholstry shop
i heard of one man in london who spent 60000 pounds on his kitchen

Fitted Kitchens
We had ours fitted by Comovar in Lagos - ask for Antonio Lourenco - 282 764 920 or 935 661 965. He recommended an English builder Ian Carter (IJC Refurbishment Specialists) based in Burgau 282 697 558 or 936 321 402. Ian ended up doing our tiling, bathrooms and Air Con as well, mostly while we were in the UK. Both did a good quality job, but, as in all things Portuguese, you need patience. As for cost - it all depends what you specify, but cheaper than the UK equivalent

Hi,
Thanks to everybody who gave me advice on having a kitchen fitted,
seems it is not at all straightforward, mind you it isn't in the UK either.
One of our friends in Loule who is a builder has agreed to do the whole lot for us, and we are currently chosing a kitchen from the IKEA catalogue that he will pick up from the new store in Seville. IKEA kitchens are fairly good quality and suitable for rentals, also the ranges stay in stock for a while, so if any damage is incurred at least we will be able to replace it quite easily.
