Burgled again - the straw that broke the Camel's back

Agreed!!!!!laserblazer wrote:God, there are some sanctimonious people out there. I'm sure shanagarry has thought through what is best for his pets and doesn't need any advice and certainly no verbal attacks.

I'm sorry Shanagarry, I thought you had rescued him & didn't know that you had rehomed him with a friend, I saw your dog on a friends Facebook page a few days ago with the write up "Can you help? Desperate for a new home" asking for someone to offer to give him a loving home & I misunderstood the situation.
It's just that you are the 3rd family I know who this year have decided that they want to return to the UK & have left their dogs & cats behind. I know through our friends who run the SOS charity that this happens to many, many more every year. I just wish people would think about the long term commitment before they get a dog. The puzzlement, bewilderment & often fear on these animals faces as they wonder what has happened to their family the family that they love & they thought loved them is heartbreaking. A dog is for life not a lifestyle accessory.

Very fair point blue. Thanks for clarifying your point of view.

Blue - thank you for your apology and believe me we take no pleasure from this situation.
I know nothing of this and will call our friends in the morning to try and understand the position.blue wrote:I saw your dog on a friends Facebook page a few days ago
