Gas water heater
Gas water heater
I am thinking of moving to a new apartment, the problem is there is no water heater and if I want it I have to fit one. So any advice as to what type to buy, cost and fitting. Many thanks ! Pato NO sniddy comment s please !!!!!
Re: Gas water heater
Type and cost is going to depend a lot on what it has to supply i.e. number of baths, showers, sinks, basins etc and which may be in use at the same time. Some heaters also need an electric supply while others don't. As it is a gas boiler DIY isn't an option in my opinion - you need to get a proper gas fitter in to ensure that both the supply and flue are correctly connected.

Thanks Farol, I don't know what to do seems a bit wrong that you should fit your own heater in a rented property !!!

Pouty, make sure that your tenancy agreement allows this. As you are doing it for your own necessity do keep all receipts which I am sure you know that anyway! Does seem very strange that you rent an apartment and no boiler is in place! Tha should be one of the basic components in an apartment.
Most landlords are fair but some can be unscrupulous and should you move out in the future don't let him/her or a company start claiming that a piped-in installed boiler is theirs when you had to pay for it and get it installed.
Hope your son is ok.

Hi James, thanks for advice, I have to move after only 4 months because this place is so damp and the woman above is an absolute bitch and has made my life hell. As you know I now have an addition to the mayhem in the form of the puppy I found and could not find a home for. Will have to go in search of a heater today !!!

Hi Linda.
I was really hoping that move would be better for you but it seems not. That puppy will be pleased he has loving new owner, though
I hope you get the boiler you want. I think we are on this earth to be tested to the limits!
Regards to Daniel.
