Without Prejudice
I moved to World Telecom last year from SAPO/PT as I could not get any Internet speed, max.25 mgb download
Initially I had dual from W/T. Phone and Internet, combined and managed to get 2 MGB. To improve the speed to 4MGB, the max, at the moment, we went with a seperate phone line and Router.
This works very well and costs around 50 Euros per month, with free calls to the U.K. etc. However, the router signal does drop off when there are a lot of people on the system, Optimus, especially around 5pm and during the Summer period.
W/T have been very helpful in letting me try alternative connections, 4G etc., but as I am between two transmission masts and 3km from the Central PT distribution, this is the best I can get.
I am presently looking at Internet through Satellite, but this is proving to be quite expensive. I have even offered to PT to pay for a new cable to the Villa, which is 50 meters from a resort that has a cable connection, but they won't do it. I have had their engineers here checking connections etc. but still only .25mgb download.
So I will do as I am informed and wait till the service and connection improves.
The Guy to talk to at W/T is Pedro, who is very helpful. Good luck.

Many thanks dvbro possibly satellite is the cheapest way to go I brought one over from the uk last year but the house was looking like a dish farm with 2 big dishes So I stayed with pt landline and Internet

FYI tooway satellite worked perfectly on 6 up 6 down contract. We actually got 10 up 10 down
Only draw back if you use lots of data it can get expensive
