Handling rubbish
We have learned about the small green containers along the roads and rather like the system to bring out our own rubbish. As long as we have a car anyway. we made very good use of them a couple of weeks ago
But how do we handle larger stuff? We need to get rid of many old things from our property. Such as several old vacuum cleaners, broken furniture, rusted lawn movers and other stuff like that.

Very often if you leave it beside the green bin the fairies take it away overnight !
Re: Handling rubbish
The municipal tip in Lagoa - I think they are accepting rubbish free until the end of the year in an effort to stop fly tipping. Someone told me there is a daily weight limit but it seemed quite high. Not used it but think if you go from Lagoa past Fatacil entrance and straight over roundabout it is somewhere down there. Perhaps someone can confirm this and directions.

Look for the bins with lots of odd stuff beside them and leave it there, someone will take it, if not the bin men will.

We've left all sorts by the bins. If it's still there when the binmen come they take it.
