Dax Gomez did a fantastic exterior paint job for me two years ago. Can thoroughly recommend him. He's based around Carvoeiro. 918 248 512

Re: painting the exterior
On one of my quotes there is a paint named Renotex which apparently is a UK paint & is not water based but its resin based, has anybody heard of or used this or had a property painted with it ? The 2 paints which I have been advised are the best are Cin & Barbot.
Re: painting the exterior
My advice would be to go for a Portuguese paint designed for the temperature and humidy changes that you find in the Algarve which UK paints are not designed for. Also go for one that is "plastico" as it will cover small cracks in the render. Make sure you check the claimed life of the paint - some give 5 and 10 year guarantees and I think this is a good indication of their quality. But the best advice is to concentrate on the preparation and make sure that the exterior is all pressure washed first and any unsound areas sorted out. Also double check that the paint used is what has been quoted.
