Can anyone advise on best places local to Carvoeiro for buying sofas. I am after a 3 seater + a 2 seater for rental property. I.E hardwearing.
Any suggestions/ idea of cost would be much appreciated.

Hi

Brit Sofa and Sofa VIP are very close to you. They are in LAgoa in the shopping area just off the main road.

We had a good look round both and both seemed vey reasonable

Hope this helps

I got mine from Conforama. I went on a Friday and they delivered a sofa and chairs the next morning.

We bought our sofas and dining furniture from SofaVip. Excellent choice and very helpful staff, Silvia and Elsa. Silvia speaks very good English.

Don't know how urgently you need sofas, but we are refurbishing our house for ourselves as we have now stopped renting and will have two very hardwearing sofas for sale. However, we need firstly to buy and have delivered two new ones - we are out next week and will be looking then.

Sofas

Just been out to Cvo and ordered two new sofas from Sofavip. The girls in the showroom are really helpful and we ended up buying two and three seater leather sofas in cream. Looking forward to delivery. The sofa place round the corner (cant remember the name) not very impressive.

I'd also recommend SofaVip. When I bought my place I'd seen what I wanted in SofaVip before I returned to the UK. I then ordered sofas and beds via fax asking for it to be delivered on the day we were due to complete on the purchase.

Not only did it all arrive at the very hour asked for but the delivery drivers also erected the beds and took all the packaging away.

All I paid in advance was a nominal deposit with the rest CoD.

In the UK you don't get service like they gave anymore.

Due to some impending building work I will probably not be replacing the old sofas until December at the earliest but thanks to everyone for their replies and suggestions. I'll also be in the market for a new double bed then if anyone can recommend the best place to look.

Thanks again. :D

FOund web site ( just entered Sofavip into search engine ) its Portuguese ( Naturarly ) but easy to understand and navigate.
We will ceratinly be looking them up on our next visit.

We still do not know if it will be cheaper to fill truck up in UK using UK prices and shops or buy locally ) ??
