Pool covers this time!!

Post by Nix »

Hi,
we are in need of a new pool cover. We have been told that the type that has two layers of plastic with a layer of sponge inbetween is the best at retaining heat, has anybody got any experience of this type of cover?
Thanks in advance,
Nix :)

We have a good experience with a cover of Aqua Pura, Lagos. (http://www.aquapura.com.pt/).

Last year we replaced our pool cover from a bubble wrap type one to one which looks very much like venetian blinds. It retains the heat, as we have a heated pool, and will hold a child's weight rather than enveloping them in the bubble wrap type.
We used a company called SCl down the 125 road from Carvoiro towards Gia. They did an excellent job and we are pleased with the results.

Can anyone tell me the cost of pool covers - our pool has just been finished and we are wondering whether or not to get one - what are the pro's and cons of having one.

 Hi, we are still looking at a pool cover for our pool, it can extend the use of your pool by a month before and a month after you would usually start/stop using the pool if it is not heated. It will help to keep temperature levels up as the nights can cool the pool quite a lot. Also helps to keep the pool cleaner (obviously!) I will send you by email the company we are looking at, it has some pictures of the covers he makes and a temp guide using the cover. He is in Carvoeiro. Hope this helps.

Forgot to add also helps with safety as it can help stop youngsters falling in the pool.
