The 2004 Budget was published yesterday. I have quickly scanned the 528 pages but at present can see no hoped for relief for offshore held property. :cry:

Will post again when we have had a good look at it.

Biffa, have already studied the papers. If so, are there any surprises??

No surprises and no deferrals/amnesties/get out clauses - nothing.

The new general valuations of all individual properties are available on the Internet but you need to register with the site and receive a senha or password. To do that you need to know fiscal number and address where the company is registered in Portugal (fiscal address).

The whole country has been "zoned" now and the coefficients to be applied to each "zone" are also available on the Net so any new house builders or any house being sold by way of a deed thus triggering a revaluation will be able to work out their new corrected rateable value (perhaps!)
