more on tourist property licences

Has Any body out there any idea of how this licensing business will work with an individual apartment in a block of apartments? Would Camaras except each application as individual entity or are they looking to have a joint application? How would this business about displaying plaque on the property work? for whole apartment block? or should they be displayed out side individual apartment entrances?

We do not rent our apartment out, but others do in the block so they must not have a licence, but they got key things outside the doors, does anybody check and if so how?

Hi all,

I have just been told that the maid service element that is offered by many villa owners may be a problem under the new rules. The villa can be maintained regularly but probably should not have a maid come in 5 times a week.

Can anyone shed anymore light on this bit?

This 5 day a week maid rule is new to me. Who told you this, or where did you read this? Have you got or applied for AL Toristic license?Do you have further details on this, or more on rules ?.

I heard it from a management agent in CVO who had been told by her solicitor about it being a grey area. I just wondered if anyone else had heard this or is he just being too cautious?

Interesting to know what the solicitor thinks on this matter, he may be looking at it from interesting angle of law. But worth keeping in mind.

Having followed this subject for what seems like forever ( but probably only 3 years ) i was wondering if a prize should be offered to the first member of this forum to be able post on here their newly aquired licence for all to see. As they seem to be a bit like a ( YETTI ) we are told they are out there but no one can find one.

Any suggestions for the prize

I agree with you bazza. This illusive creature still doesnt want to show his/her face. May be our next generation might be luckier. But than i hear there are companies already offering the service of getting this license for you, and it is supposed to be INSTANT if all the paperwork etc is in order, SURELY someone out there must have had a glimpse of YETTI by now, OR are we to live in HOPE ?

aah the sands of time run s l o w l y here

spoke today with someone who started a legal "process" in 2006 (nothing to do with this thread)..she phoned the court last week who said the judge has not even looked at the file yet, so it will take maybe another 2 years before the matter is settled

so as for getting a licence soon...expect a miracle!
