Black Stove

After reading some of the negative posts regarding the Black Stove, I contacted the owners in Ireland and informed them of certain comments regarding vandalism, aggressive behavior and other problems that the bar allegedly was experiencing and causing.

They immediately contacted the Camara, GNR and also had dialogue with local residents and businesses, and informed me that no complaints had been lodged, nor had any local resident/business had any problems, nor complained to the manager. However, they were pleased to be informed about the thread on the forum, and will be monitoring it closely.

Although I don't frequent the bar, I am in and around town several evenings per week, and I have to admit, that I have not seen nor heard about the problems from the local community , and wonder if there are certain malicious posters who maybe want to denigrate one business in favour of another. It wouldn't be the first time that the forum has been used to do this.

Perhaps the owner's should be contacted again regarding this latest report of yobbish behaviour around the Black Stove. I know that the yobs last year got very drunk in the Black Stove & when they became too drunk to handle they were moved on to become someone else's problem. So the owner maybe right they don't have trouble in the Black Stove, it seems they just serve the young men until they get totally out of their heads & aggressive & then move them on....... very responsible - not.
There is nothing malicious about my post I happen to live out here & I want a pleasant town to live in not bury my head in the sand so I can bump my rentals up.
