Water Bills

Post by Gazza »

Noted that throughout the summer months bi monthly small water bills from CM Lagoa and then a large one in Sept and another even larger one in Nov. Can understand the large catch up when the meter is read but the second big bill makes no sense, especially as it was for Oct / Nov whe there was little of no need to water garden.

Is it normal practice to recieve to large catch up bills?

Water Bills

We had a large bill in October due to the gardener leaving the hose pipe on while we were not there. I would check to make sure it is switched off. Expensive stuff the water in Portugal.

You sure its not a price increase ?? - Silves CM increased water charges by over 80% in September and apparently another increase is on the way

No not a leak Lesley... checked everywhere.Price increase is not the cause as the bill is 8 times the average for the preceeding months. Do they read the meters every over month or do they estiamate and read once or twice a year ??
