As i am arriving in Carvoeiro on Boxing Day checking the latest rate
of exchange i see its now one Euro three to the pound the chap at the exchange place told me come January it will 98cents i do hope business owners ajust the pricing structure in the Algarve accordingly as a business owner my self i know they have to make a profit but survival
is at the top of most peoples agenda this would make eg. a large beer in Carvoeiro around £3.00 in Sterling money for the local beer.
I think you will find in 2009 that people for obvious reasons will go where the Euro doesnt exist Eygpt seems to be gaining popularity i do hope
my dear village Carvoeiro can survive which i think the next 12 months are going to be tough
