The Amarok Way
The Amarok Way
One of the highlights at this years Lagoa Fatacil show is the new VW Amarok, a good German car made in Argentina. At the show VW have made a test track with one metre deep pot holes, 1.3 hills - 45 degree banks - ravines - which you can be driven or drive around in this new car - and without your foot on the pedals as the computer controls the movement ( now there's faith!)
It has 5 seats, is a pick up and as its a "commercial vehicle" the salesman says there is no car tax only IVA - price 32000

Re: The Amarok Way
Looks interesting but much of this market is already held by Mitsubishi and Nissan and VW are coming to it late. Their reputation for quality should help however.
Re: The Amarok Way
Drove round the test track yesterday and I have to say, taking your feet off the pedals when facing the pavement at a 45º downward angle is really a leap of faith. However, it does what it says on the tin - put it in low gear first, point the car where you want it to go and the car does the rest.

what if the computer breaks?
