Post by widge »

I want to recover two old, but very comfortable, deck chairs. As Dean Wurz is no longer in the Algarve can anybody assist with another supplier please ?

Hi
Going through Ferragudo towards Portimao there is a row of old houseson the right opposite some open ground before the entrance to Vitors and there is an upholsterer there that might help.

Pickwick

Still in Bath but back Wednesday PM.

Dont know if you got your deck chairs sorted, but there used to be a guy on the road into Carvoeiro from Lagoa who sold all finds of fabrics including deck chair type stuff. I got some a while ago to make a new lid for a swing seat and it was really tough.

Thanks MALLYLAL I think you are referring to Dean Wurz who used to be next to the petrol station on the way into Carvoeiro; he's gone back to Scotland now. However, the upholstery shop that pickwick recommended is still there but was closed when we called by but we found another at Av, S Joao de Deus 47, 48, 57 - Apartado 200 Portimao. Vasco Antonio G. Carapucinha. It's opposite the Repsol petrol station behind the bus station.
