Vodafone PAYG Internet SIM wanted

Post by analogman »

Does anyone have a working Vodafone PAYG SIM for mobile Internet that uses the 10 Euro = 10 hours, unlimited data, reload within 90 days, tariff that they no longer need?

I have foolishly let mine expire, they are de-activated if not loaded with credit every 3 months. They used to be happy to re-activate them if you call them and ask, or pop into the phone shop at Intermarche, but that is no longer an option. They will only now sell me a new SIM with one of the current tarifs. These, unfortunately, don't include any that allow unlimited data, they all have quite small data allowances. For example 3 days and 2GB or 7 days and 4GB or 30 days and 1GB.

I would be happy to pay a good price for a SIM that is still active if someone has one that is not needed. It does not need to have any credit on it, just as long a it has not yet been deactivated.

Thanks. Keith

Don't have one spare but have you tried the Vodafone shop at Shop Algarve or just the phone shop in Intermarche? Howabout topping up via Multibanco or on-line? Often there is a discrepancy between what one outlet says and what the system allows. Worth a try

Hi Farol, No the problem is that Vodafone will not re-activate it any more. It was the nice lady at the Intermarche Phone shop that called them to do it. They say because it's been in-active for four month I had to buy a new SIM under the new contract options.

I've got a 7.2 M one which I stopped using in Jan - my daughter is there at the moment I will see if it is still working - it had credit on it in Jan and I think I used it in march - I will check asap.

OK she's found it and Plugged it in to the PC, but it seems to be empty of minutes. I certainly used it in Jan and possibley early march before I bought a MiFi. It was on "minutes" not data and I used to get ti filled at Intermarche. If you want it you can meet them in Harrys bar tonight 6 pm - they will give you the access code and Vodafone no to fill it up. If that's ok I can send you a photo of them - 2 adults 3 children - Damian is a tall 6ft 2 guy.

I have pm their uk phone numbers

Hi maccassa, Thanks yes that would be great to give it a try. Have you registered it online so you can see the balance etc.? If so it will say there whether it has been de-activated. I will pop down tonight and meet your family. Thanks again. Keith
