Train to Lisbon

Post by alf1956 »

Hello fellow members.
Has anybody caught the train to Lisbon as we were thinking of having a trip up there. We have been told varying journey times from 2hrs 50 mins up to 4 hrs.

We've done it a couple of times. Thoroughly recommend it. The journey times do vary according to the type of train you get i.e. the high speed pendelo trains, intercity or stopping trains. When we have done it we have parked at Tunes station (free). For the small difference in price I would recommend first class and get a reserved sest.

Details or times and fares are here: https://www.cp.pt/passageiros/en

You can do it all on-line.
