O Ciclo and O Lotus

Has anyone information about these two restaurants which are in Lagoa and which I understand are authentic 'Portuguese'

Ive been in Lotus couple of times Victor and enjoyed the meals there (went at lunchtimes) and as you say it was authentic Portugese,very nice.

I've been to O Lotus a few times as well. Really good food, totally different from what you'd get in Carvoeiro. It gets quite busy at lunch times and can be quiet in the evening.

It's on the small road running alongside the Galp petrol station. Enjoy.

They serve a wonderful shellfish Cataplana at the O Lotus.

Both these are very good. Used by the local Lagoa business community at lunchtimes. Lotus is not particulalrly cheap but very good indeed serving regional dishes. Ciclo is just down from the old Camara offices in the one way road (near Saltys chiropractors if that helps?!) Again serving local Algarvian dishes, fresh fish etc.

Food is great! Service is great - fantastic fella, been there years!! He always remembers what wine we like and what our daughter has to eat and it can be months in between our visits - thats good. Only been in the evenings, if I remember rightly, they close on Sat nights. Our daughter loves the patanascas with rice and beans and my hubby if not fish, has chicken in blood (!!!) which he assures me is delicious - I will take his word for it and for me I always check out what specials are on - have had wild boar, cataplan, the pork is always good mmm getting hungry now - guess I will have to check out the specials next week. Yes!!
