After many visits to Carvoeiro we tried this restaurant the food was very poor the Fish soup which I love didn't tast of Fish! I then had Monkfish Kebab, the fish was raw! and the Prawns were like elastic! plus the vegetables were totaly overcooked and even worse the head waiter was smoking in the Kitchen while displaying on the window there was a 750 Euro fine for smoking in the restaurant

Give this one a miss

That is such a shame. We have always enjoyed eating here. The food hasn't always been amazing, but is usually quite good.

Hi Scarpetta no we didn't complain perhaps we should have? but if you are in the restaurant trade you should know how to cook! so we just said it was the first and last time. Every restaurant we have visited so far we have been asked while eating, "was the food good" at this one not until we had finished! but not to worry we will find another next year when our favorite one is closed we will be coming for 4 weeks next time so now we have to loose some weight

We have been going to 'O Cantinho' for many years now, and never been disapointed.

I'm sorry you had a bad meal.

We have always found the Service polite and professional .

The food is always well cooked. My partner always has the Veal with Mushrooms, loves it.

I myself love the Sardines Algarvian style and the Monkfish.

I have never understood why people would never frequent a restaurant they know and like just because of one bad review.

After all, if we all did that the restaurants would be empty !!

We had a really good meal there last Friday with Ed and Morag and Friends, we always go on our 1st night and have always had a nice meal.
