Good morning,
I own the restaurant Gaetano Via Italia today by chance I read your comments on my restaurant.
Here there are 150 restaurant menus with all the prices of 50 wine menus with respective price
and beyond have also exposed the menu with the price now I will say that were wrong.hall our products are imported from Italy and who knows knows the price is impossible to sell cheap meals.
If you can not distinguish between Italian food I am not to blame, there is this restaurant for almost 20 years, always working with and cook with an Italian professional pizzaiolo.
It is easy to discriminate a restaurant per message, you can not believe all that you read, the better you come here.

Many of the forum members have visited your restaurant several times and been disapointed myself included. Can you tell me why you serve your soft drinks,i.,e coke etc in such large glasses with so much ice and charge at least 4 euros for it.
you have a beautiful position and some of your dishes are very nice but the majority let you down.
Perhaps you have a new chef since last year?

I'm sorry Gaetano, but I have eaten Italian food all over the world, including Italy, and I have tried Via Italia twice. The 2nd time because I couldnt believe how bad it was the first time, and I was persuaded to give you a second chance.
On the 2nd visit, last year, my wife's seafood risotto was so watery and lacking in seafood, that I complained. Getting a very off-hand response I left some money on the table and we left in disgust.
Like it or not, your beautifully situated restaurant has a very poor reputation for quality of food and service, amongst the villa owners of Carvoeiro. You can get away with poor standards for the one off summer "passing trade", not amongst residents and regular visitors who in the main are very discerning.
It would serve you well, to visit La Bella Vita at Clube Atlantico, and remind yourself of the level of service your clients look for in an Italian restaurant of quality.

I think Mr. is wrong in the restaurant which claims, since our products are fresh and great quality!
It is clear that for those who are accustomed to eating frozen notice the difference! on Risotto THAT THE LORD SPEAK IN YOUR CLAIM we have to inform you that the restaurant in my 20 years of existence and with an average of 35,000 customers years never never served to anyone who was a plate of risotto, short-LOGO OR THIS RESTAURANT OR THE SR.brought The Risotto of his house. How this will calls to its FEZ their Risotto!

Have only been once to your restaurant and must say there will not be a twice. Worst Italian food I have ever had and the service was poor. Your prices are all you seem to excel at and will be surprised if your establishment lasts another 20 years. Have to admire you though for coming onto this site to ask us for our opinions. Hopefully this will be a wake up call as they say time to smell the coffee.

I just think the problem with the residents is that they want everything cheap and think that restaurants like Galés or Jota Litas which serve just ordinary food are the best in the world and just come back beause they offer a drink in the end or even another bottle of wine, just for the fact of being resident ...

........... dear friend is absolutely normal pay for a pint of cola € 4.00 .... just like normal pay is £ 35.00 for a bottle of wine (which had no brand) at england!
logical that if a restaurant is a luxury for those who do not attend we are prepared to work for only exchange money!

I too hope that Gaetano takes on board our comments.
But perhaps he can successfully exist with just the tourists in the holiday season. They are the people that will visit once and not notice that the garlic bread doesn't have any garlic in and that the 'Pint' of coke os mainly ice, and comes in one size only.
But if he wants vila owners and local residents to keep his restaurant going out of season he is seriously going to have to raise his game.

well, well, well! Went there a few times but last years i had two very bad meals. I wondered how long it would take ,people not going there anymore! Such a shame , but location is not everything! Saying that. . . . .0 patio!
