Re: Boneca restaurant
For Gary and I with Covert, two starters, two main meals, wine and beer we paid around €50. Coming from Holland, that's pretty reasonable for us.

Re: Boneca restaurant
We have always enjoyed Boneca Bar / retsaurant.
Its worth paying a little bit extra , it has a lovely calm atomsphere , away from main Carvoeiro.
The fish dishes are great and huge portions.
I know if you have special dietary needs that you can let them know ahead of time and they will make something to order.
Lauren did you work at Boneca ? Did you go back to Uni , if so I know you !!
Mandy Aka white rabbit.

I totally agree Mandy, I would go that little bit extra for a special evening which Gary and I wanted and certainly got. We don't always push the boat out but like to have the odd evening where we go for something a bit special and they certainly delivered. I guess it all comes down to opinion in the end.

Re: Boneca restaurant
Come on , if you can manage those steps at Boneca you got to be pretty young and fit ( even if only at heart ) , unfortunately thats the only downside I can see to Boneca , its quite hard going if you have difficulty with steps ( and no hand rail to slide down - my favourite sneaky trick , not lady like but it beats a stanna stair lift !! ).
With the lovely views , beautiful grotto , great friendly staff and tasty food , its worth the trip , just take a couple of strong men to lift you back up ( if not call the local Bomberios - kidding ).

Re: Boneca restaurant
Could you tell me where Boneca is please.
Re: Boneca restaurant
At Algar Seco just look for the steps down the cliffside.

Re: Boneca restaurant
With starters of the main menu at 8 euros plus you can see how easy it is to rack up a large bill.
To be fair i do not know what the prices are for snacks.
As an alternative we will go back to the Algare Seco restaurant when in that part of town, views if anything better.

Re: Boneca restaurant
Gary and I just love the Algar Seco restaurant and agree the views are just wonderful especially having lunch with a nice cool breeze coming off the Atlantic. We often stay poolside for the day (€10 pp) to use the pool facilities as we have an apartment in town but no pool available to us as we are not on a complex. Just come back from a great stay now back to answering business emails.
