ADM Dining

Post by pato »

My friend has a place on the VDM and has just returned to the Wirral, he said he'd been to the Ponto do Encontro (if that's how you spell it) a couple of times, the place on the ADM, and reported that he's had a decent meal there and reasonably priced, he's quite a gourmet and has been in Cvo for 20 odd years so I value his opinions.
I tried it a few times last year, and as much as I want it to succeed I found it unfortunately very sort of basic, has anything changed during the last year, I'd love to know. I think if they get it right it would be a real asset to the ADM :)

Pato we had a really poor meal there last year but might give it another try next month on the strength of
your friend's recommendation.
Will let you know the outcome - it is in a convenient spot on ADM.

We stayed at ADM in March this year and went to Ponto Do Encontro several times. It has changed hands since last year and is now run by Jao who used to be at Casa de Pasto Escondidinho (Denis's, or the Ritz as many know it) at Quinta Paraiso. The food was excellent with plenty of choice and the service from Jao was good and friendly as ever. The prices were pretty good too. There is a set menu which I think was approx 9 euros in the evening and also a full A La Carte menu. Both were good. :D
