Vimar restaurant
Vimar restaurant
On our previous two visits the food could have been at best described as 'ordinary'.
Yesterday 4 of us went for lunch and the improvement was amazing - plaice (solha) large and cooked to perfection, chicken piri moist and tender (although could have done with a little more pirpiri) and spare ribs which fell of the bone. At € 10.50 for 3 courses - soup or salad, main and good selection of desserts + drinks and coffee it is for now possibly the best value in town.
Service was very pleasant (lovely Ukranian young lady) although on the slow side. This did not matter for us and indicated food was freshly prepared to order - a good thing.

Re: Vimar restaurant
We’ve been for lunch in Vimar at least 3 times during our 6 week stay. Food much improved and excellent value for money. They’ve also been very welcoming and the service has been friendly and efficient.

That’s great to hear. Vimar was always a favourite but we had also experienced a downturn recently. Can’t wait to get back again and try it out for myself
Re: Vimar restaurant
Been twice since reopening - still good and still € 10.50 lunch and € 14 dinner.

Re: Vimar restaurant
Is it still under the same ownership?
Re: Vimar restaurant
Yes but (understandably) cut down on staff. Just seems to be Joao (not he most extrovert !) and a pleasant Ukrainian girl serving + a cook.
