Oasis

You walk past this restaurant very easily, but I dare to say they have the best spare-ribs and the best saté in the Algarve!

We went here while in CVO in March 2004. We both had the ribs and they were to die for. It was a very cool evening but too hot indoors so the waitress kindly set up a patio heater on the terrace and we spent a very pleasant evening there. Highly recommended and very reasonably priced.

I have visited Carvoeiro once or twice a year for the past 15 years and have tried most restaurants. In my humble opinion, nothing beats the spare ribs at the Oasis and Hans and Karin are just about the nicest people I have met in my 74 years

Anyone know if it is open at the moment? We are next out first two weeks in February, and no doubt will spend the first evening finding out what is open.

Oasis have been closed since before Christmas and I don't know when they are opening up. They might be open again in Feb.

Re Oasis & distance from Carvoeiro Sol - its about 100 metres away so I don't think you will need a taxi. Enjoy.

 I was lucky enough to be out in cvo last week just for three days, after reading about the spare ribs on this site, my friend and I decided to go have a look, I have been before but usually have fish. This evening my friend had the ribs and I had pork fillet, they were both excelent, but I must agree the ribs 'were to die for' never really liked them before much, as I don't eat much beef but they were so good (had a taste) that I will have them next time I am out.
They also were good enough to warm us up with the heater as my central heating took a dive on a very cold night!! typical!!
