Gave Via Italia another try, against my better judgement
and shall not be going again. Out of the seven of us, the comments were,
'Not enough Cheese on the Pizza's (Teenagers)
'Salmon Pasta was dry with two pieces of salmon and no sauce'
(this dish was not eaten and was taken off the bill)
'Mushroom Ravioli (special) was very salty'

A word of warning parents, don't order coke etc for the children as although it comes in a large glass (too much) it also costs about 4 euro's.

That's It - Finished. Never again.

Glad it's not just me Tricky, although my reasons slightly different to yours...

We had previously avoided V.I. as had been told it was over priced but then some friends said they had a good meal there so we gave it a try a few weeks ago.

Although the food wasn't bad, it wasn't great either and on that basis it is overpriced in my view. But what got to us the most was the speed of the service, dare I say it...too fast....much too fast!

I am not exaggerating when I say they got us through 3 courses and out in less than 45 minutes. I couldn't make my mind up whether they were purposely rushing us to try to get rid of us or whether they are just too efficient for their own good. Either way we were left feeling like we couldn't relax and take our time.

I want good service as much as the next man but there is a polite balance to be struck when dining in my book...and Via Italia didn't have it. We went out for a leisurely meal and some wine - but ended up feeling like we'd stopped at a fast food restaurant to grab a quick lunch!

Won't go back I'm afraid. :( Shame really, it's a lovely place sat upstairs looking out onto the village.

Does this place have a website where comments can be logged! I've tried Boteca but it doesn't :(

We had a meal there about 3 years ago having just purchased our apartmebt in CVO. We all liked the look of the retaurant and on the last night we decided to eat there as a bit of a treat They told us they had a nice steak on special that evening. Jeeeez talk about a distressed cow, I think when it was slaughered it must have been well passd it's slaughter date (sorry animal lovers) worst meal we've had in CVO . When asked if we'd enjoyed we honestly told we didn't which didn't go down too well and they verbally made it clear it didn't either as we were walking through the door. No chance of a second chance with me. Restaurants like these need to buck their idea up a bit.

I ate there in August, 2 adults and 2 teenagers, we skipped starters and had quite a basic meal of pasta and pizzas which were nothing special, between the 4 of us we went through 9 soft drinks, as the glasses were tall but full of ice and hardly any drink in them, when the bill came it was the most expensive meal of the fortnight - 36 euros on pop?? We noticed that nowhere on the menu did it quote for the soft drinks, families beware !! I won't be going back

Having been caught before with the ICE trick I always now ask for soft drinks WITHOUT ice, they either come from a chiller cabinet or from a chilled tap anyway.
